To assist WHO in implementation and evaluation of essential interventions (e.g. Screening and Brief interventions) through developing and pilot testing appropriate tools and supporting their evaluation

To assist WHO in producing systematic reviews and analysis of evidence underpinning recommendations, guidelines, population-level interventions, and NCD prevention policy, in particular with regard to prevention of alcohol and tobacco addiction and the control and management of NCDs
